Absentee Voter (AV) Ballots

NO REASON Absentee Voting

In 2018, Michigan voters approved Proposal 3 which made some changes to Election Law. One of those changes is that voters can now request an Absentee Voter ballot without stating a reason. You must contact the Township Clerk's Office to request an AV Ballot application either by phone at 754-4611 or by email to Deputy Clerk Tricia Mejia:

You may also download the AV Application by clicking here. Fill out and return to the Clerk's Office!

You may also request to be added to the Permanent Absent Voter's List where you will automatically receive an AV ballot for EVERY election. Avoid the long lines at the polls and vote from the comfort of your home! If you don't wish to vote in a particular election, just don't vote/return the ballot! It's that easy!

Beginning in 2025, the permanent Absent Voter list will no longer exist due to the passing of Proposition 22-2. Voters must request to be placed on the Permanent Ballot list. Click here for the form, fill out and return to the Clerk's Office!

New Absentee Ballot Drop Box now available!

Carrollton Township has installed a convenient drive-up Absentee Ballot Drop Box where you can return both your AV applications and voted ballots!
